We coordinate sound with the camera and production teams, helping you book the appropriate operator and recording package through one bilingual point of contact. Your Beijing sound recordist can coordinate dialogue recording, camera feeds and agreed audio handover with your producer and editor.
Location sound for interviews and documentary filming
For an interview, we discuss the number of speakers, camera setup, room and recording requirements with your producer. For documentary filming, we plan around the movement of the crew and the locations in the schedule. Our sound team works with the director and camera department to capture dialogue, room tone and other agreed location recordings.
Recording packages matched to your shoot
We can arrange the sound package alongside the operator. Tell us your microphone channels, monitoring and camera connection requirements; we confirm the equipment list and availability in the booking. Equipment options can include the following categories, with specific models agreed before filming.
- Recorders: Portable multitrack recording options, including Sound Devices or Zoom packages subject to availability.
- Microphones: Boom and lavalier microphones selected for the speakers, locations and recording plan.
- Wireless: Radio microphone and monitoring requests can be included in the package review.
- Boom support: Boom poles and the accessories required for the agreed setup.
- Mixing: Tell us whether the job needs location recording, an event feed or a dedicated mixing setup so we can confirm the appropriate scope.
A single recordist or a larger sound team
Book a location sound recordist for a compact interview unit, or discuss additional boom and sound support for a larger production. We can coordinate the recording format, file naming and handover with your post-production team. The quotation will set out the crew and equipment scope for the proposed shoot days.
Local production coordination
Our English-Chinese production team can help coordinate locations, access enquiries, transport and the filming schedule alongside sound. If you need camera and lighting as well, we can arrange a combined Beijing production package rather than asking you to manage each department separately.
